The purpose of this www.InnovationInInsurance.com is to foster innovation in the way insurance is practiced by providing a portal to all online resources helpful to insurance technology, services, and outsourcing.

Insurance technology can be defined as information technology applied to any aspect of insurance. As such, it touches every part of every insurance business process - from the time that the policy is sold until the last claim dollar is paid and the policy has expired. For example, insurance agents, insurance companies, claims adjusters, and almost everyone else in the insurance industry uses computers and computing power today. As information technology continues to evolve, it will support more and more insurance processes.

Michael Gantt was the original publisher of this site.  He is a retired executive.  His retirement is an active one that includes a wide variety of business and personal interests. In the late '70's he wrote a book for the CPCU program called Computers In Insurance.  He has worked extensively in the industry before and since.  If you want to know more about him, you may view his LinkedIn profile.

Insurance technology and outsourcing is a large, growing, and wonderful field in which to work.  The opportunity to create value...and reap the rewards...are as great as they are - if not greater than - in any other industry.
